Antares Equities is a specialist active Australian Equities fund manager, with significant growth plans. The primary responsibility of the Senior Fund Accountant is to calculate daily unit prices, quarterly distributions and prepare financial statements while providing support to other team members as required.
The key responsibilities include;
- Daily unit pricing for equities funds and 1 fixed income fund
- Calculate management fees and rebates on a monthly basis
- Reconcile custodian reports to trial balance on monthly basis
- Calculate quarterly distribution for 10 unit trusts
- Prepare BAS and ABS survey on a quarterly basis
- Prepare annual and half-year financial statements
- Process SMA bank interest, fees and BAS
- Provide support to investment operations team
- Work closely with MLC Group Tax to comply with update tax legislation
- Liaise with external audit and custodian
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the financial services industry, plus the following skills and experience;
- Knowledge of accounting standards and Australian tax law relating to unit trusts
- CA/CPA qualified (or studying towards)
- Experience in fund accounting for unit trusts
- MS Office skills
- Knowledge of unit pricing
- Strong communication skills, both written verbal
- Time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills and atttention to detail
- Analytical skills and problem solving skills
