Our client is a fund services provider currently setting up the Asia regional office in Hong Kong. As part of new business growth, a newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join their Hong Kong office to build and lead a small team.
Reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting Administration, you will provide support in building a specialised fund accounting administration services business focusing on closed ended funds for the Private Equity clients. You will be responsible for preparing the monthly closing of fund books, periodic financial and management reports for your clients. In addition, you will assist in compliance matters including tax returns, audit, financial statements and other regulatory reporting. You will perform KYC review on investors. This is a newly set up office. As a team leader, you will coach and develop the junior fund accountants and will directly provide professional accounting advices to clients.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree with full CPA qualification
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of fund administration and financial accounting experiences within private equity funds
- Prior Big 4 audit experience is ideal
- Good understanding of waterfall calculation and GP/LP allocations is a Must
- Strong experiences in preparing financial statements (including note disclosures) under IFRS and USGAAP
- Proficient in Excel and Investran (preferred)
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is a Must
- Relevant candidates with less experience will be considered for Fund Accountant position
