Senior Fund Accountant

Leading financial services firm with a Glasgow city centre base are looking to recruit a senior fund accountant to lead the fund accounting team. This is an excellent company to work for and employer of choice for many. The role will involve:

- Reviewing all financial accounting statements
· Producing monthly, interim and year end financial accounting statements for funds.
· Reconciling all fund income.
· Reconciling charges and fees.
· Preparation of financial statements for tax review.
· Preparation of print proofs.
· Preparing Trustees period end packs for cash and outstanding balance sheet positions.
· Resolution of reconciliation breaks and queries from other parties.
· To calculate total expense ratios and turnover figures.
· To produce monthly yield calculations.
· Reconciliation of accounts to tax pack.
· Take the necessary corrective and preventative action if an error occurs by reporting issues found in a timely manner to senior staff
· To ensure all daily and non-daily tasks are completed to a high standard, and any anomalies are reported to your Operations Manager within agreed time-scales.
· Ensure adherence to and familiarity with regulatory guidelines (FSA, IMA, SORP, FRS IFRS) and rules as specified by external bodies relevant to your area.

To fulfil this role you will need to have substantial Unit Trust/OEIC fund accounting experience. And have:
- Knowledge of FRS, IFRS and the IMA SORP
- Good knowledge of collective investment schemes (operations)
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Accuracy and attention to detail - ability to work accurately under pressure
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of people, including external parties and senior internal staff
