Job Description:
Macquarie's Houston office is seeking a highly motivated Senior Draftsperson/GeoTech to help a growing worldwide investment banking firm in their AD Department. Applicants must be able to work with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibilities:
The Draftsperson/GeoTech will work alongside geologists, engineers and technicians and report to the Vice President. This person will have a high level of responsibility and will be integral to the success of the Houston team. The Draftsperson/GeoTech will be responsible for:
- Competitor analysis maps
- Preparing exhibits for client pitch books
- Preparing geological exhibits such as structure maps, isopach maps, bubble maps and cross sections
- Drafting of exhibits for offering memorandums
- Attending client meetings
Job Requirements:
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred
- Computer savvy in Corel Draw, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Familiarity with Petra is highly desirable - ability to initiate a Petra project and populate with well information from IHS. Produce maps of offset operators, producing horizons and/or cumulative production.
- Geographix, Autocad and GIS systems are pluses
- Ability to scan and digitize
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
