Senior Grain Trader
Responsibilities for the role:
- Responsible for the international grain trading book to develop a positive PnL together with assisting the Commercial Director in the expansion plans across the Black Sea region.
- Managing customer and supplier relationship and be responsible for the trading and marketing opportunities.
- Develop trading flows primarily out of the Black Sea region.
- Further develop our supply chain to achieve optimal results for customers as well as own operations.
- Manages the overall trading operations including purchases, logistics and shipping components.
- Work with all business units within the group to ensure maximisation of synergies and optimisation of company result.
- Oversee day-to-day Business Unit activities ensuring contracts are executed in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Set annual budgets in conjunction with the Commercial Director, that ensure the section is targeted to produce acceptable financial returns in the long term.
- Set and implement the trading strategies in terms of prices, trades, contract terms, positions and tonnages.
- Ensure up-to-date global grains SND?s are maintained.
Skills - Attributes required for the role:
- 5+ years of grain trading experience in Black Sea region
- Proven track record
- Established network with key clients across the region
- Fluent in English, Russian would be advantageous
- Willing to locate in Zurich area
- Willingness to take on a new challenge and set up a brand new desk
