Senior Hire – Global Risk Advisory recruitment
Our client is one of the global leaders within financial services. Driven by the growing market for risk management and Solvency II solutions, our client is looking to further develop their insurance risk advisory capacity in risk governance through risk and value Management frameworks to ORSA. As such, they are seeking to hire a number of leadership roles to report in to the European Head of Insurance Risk.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Enhance and further develop the insurance risk offering
- Manage and grow the team across Europe
- Take a central role in delivering the businesses Solvency II proposition
- Lead client relationship management at the highest level
- Work across other practice areas including asset management, risk and technology and corporate finance
Experience and Attributes:
- Experience of working with “c-suite” executives, treasurers, regulators, rating agencies, accountants, tax specialists, consultant actuaries, risk managers and other professionals (preferably in the capacity as a risk and strategy consultant).
- Proven people management ability; hold industry contacts with excellent relationship building skills
- A sound knowledge of risk management - including operational as well as insurance and other risks
- Sufficient understanding of quantitative modelling to be able to oversee risk modelling projects, but does not need to be an actuary
- A good understanding of regulatory perspectives and the Solvency II framework
Our clients practice is a cohesive one and would benefit from the addition of a pragmatic and commercial thinker who would further identify and realise market potential and/or introduce innovative business solutions to clients whilst safeguarding the high consulting principles already in place. The individual would need to be a self-starter who could identify areas of the existing business and new business that could be further enhanced.
The successful candidate will already hold a responsible position within the insurance industry (or a regulatory body) and he/she would be recognised by their professional peer group as having sufficient market credibility and gravitas within the industry in which he/she would work.
