Senior Interim Financial Accountant
Our client is recruiting for an interim Financial Accountant for a period of 3 to 6 months to support the Financial Controller in a number of key areas. The role will support on the production of financial and statutory reporting and tax and business planning. You will also take responsibility for a number of projects which will include looking at controls, processes and procedures to ensure best practice across the department and will work with non financial teams to manage and review budgets.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, with previous experience of local government accounting. A good working knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP would be advantageous as would a track record of undertaking assignments requiring the ability to mix project work and reporting.
