Senior Internal Audit Auditor recruitment
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a senior auditor to participate in planning and executing operational audits.
As a senior auditor, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working with management to develop audit objectives; developing audit programs to achieve those objectives.
- Documenting and evaluating the control environment for assigned departments.
- Conducting client interviews to obtain a thorough understanding of the area being audited and to plan the audit.
- Developing process flows to identify key control activities.
- Performing and overseeing audits of domestic and international investment management and supporting operations as well as performing ongoing risk assessments in these areas.
- Assisting less experienced auditors and ensuring that work is completed accurately and timely.
- Developing staff by identifying and communicating areas for improvement on a timely basis; providing action steps to achieve developmental goals.
- Drafting audit report content, including value-added recommendations to management.
- Communicating effectively with all levels of Internal Audit, including management.
- Maintaining effective professional relationships with auditees and coworkers.
- Anticipating and providing effective solutions for problems.
- Reviewing audit programs and workpapers to ensure they are completed accurately and in a timely manner; adequately addressing the risks and controls highlighted in the audit planning document.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. B.S. or B.A. in a concentrated business-related field preferred.
- Progress toward obtaining a professional certification or advanced degree (e.g., C.P.A., CFA, C.I.A, M.B.A).
- Minimum of three to five years of internal audit experience, preferably within a large organization.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and flowcharting tools.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong client focus, relationship building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to various local company facilities on a regular basis and to travel out of state and internationally (10%-15%) if necessary.
