Senior Internal Auditor
Well known, publicly held media agency in the Phoenix area needs an adventurous and independent senior Internal Auditor to add to their team. Amazing travel opportunities! This person will be conducting site visits in London, Chicago, Las Vegas, etc. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position will focus on managing financial, operational, and IT audits as required.
Essential Functions:
Effectively prepare a well-developed audit approach and document high quality work papers for complex financial, technical, and operational audits. Appraise the effectiveness of existing controls to determine compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and corporate policies. Analyze findings, determine 'root causes,' formulate opinions, and develop recommendations.
Prepare work papers documenting and supporting audit procedures and techniques conducted.
Coordinates efforts with external auditors. TRAVEL REQUIRED
Requirements:
- CPA
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm very highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, information systems or related field.
- 1-5 years recent experience in internal audit or public accounting
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in applying the principles and practices of internal auditing in accounting, financial, and operational environments, including auditing business functions and information technology systems
