Senior Intraday Liquidity Specialist

The Cash, Collateral and Liquidity function is a relatively new business-aligned team bringing together a number of critical business functions supporting the bank's business across the group. The primary functions of this group are to provide Pre-Trade Support, Funding, Intraday Liquidity Management, Tri-party financing, Network and Vendor Management, Cost of Income Management, Analytics and Optimisation, Reporting, Change Management and Risk and Control.

These functions play a critical role in helping the bank manage its funding and liquidity needs, supporting the collateral optimisation business and managing the firm's core cash management, network, agent and clearing / exchange relationships. The department has a number of key strategic objectives to drive the function forward and improve their capability including increasing the focus on pro-active value-added services, driving real bottom-line P/L benefits through cost of income, expense management and funding processes, and driving the strategic investment agenda to ensure they build a first-class operating platform to support the bank's future needs.

The Global intraday team is responsible for managing the intraday liquidity across the bank. With an ever growing global focus on funding, intraday and liquidity risk, the profile and demands of the function are continuing to increase across the board.Intradayliquidity management is a critical part of the bank's overall business model and is an excellent opportunity to learn about the core requirements of any bank and the relationship between business, operational and treasury functions.This is a senior role toprovide high level input into the Intraday Liquidity Group and to support the large scale change programme in the group and to meet aggressive business targets.

The role requires a strong individual with good business knowledge, risk awareness and a control mindset to join the Intraday Liquidity management team and help drive the ongoing development of the group, while managing the team to accurately execute the monitoring of intraday requirements as well as contribute to achieve team's business targets and strategic objectives. Strong communication skills are required as a major part of the role which involves constant interaction with a diverse group of operations and business teams.

To be successful in your application you must have previous experience in the intraday space and a proven management skill set and experience across other roles potentially ie. Finance.

Main duties:
* Day to Day management across the Intraday liquidity team. Ensuring the most efficient and controlled approach to roles and responsibilities are adhered to.
* Drive solutions to business initiatives and requests around such areas as identifying Sources and Uses of available collateral across the Business.
* Identify and implement change that will result in process efficiency and cost savings.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with related Front Office, Finance and Operations areas
* Perform intraday tasks within deadlines
*  Provide reporting at a number of levels to detail daily requirements and periodic MIS
* Adhering to up to date checklists and ensuring procedures are kept in line with process and market changes
* Identify opportunities to improve process and controls in the line
* Identify opportunities to drive reduction in overall bank intraday usage through proactive delivery on role and alternative methodology to identify viable solutions
* Build consistent Global approach for monitoring and controlling cash flows in order to alleviate intraday credit usage or an alternative means to secure cash to minimize costs
* Analysis of collateral utilization across bank accounts and clearing houses to manage credit risk and firm's liquidity
* Assess the sources and uses of liquidity to ensure requirements are minimized, investment options are optimized and operational processes are efficient and have adequate controls

My client is looking to recruit a degree educated individual with leadership experience across teams and functions and experience working with global teams. You will need to have a strong approach to risk management and awareness of control across BAU as well as direct experience of Intraday Liquidity processes as well as treasury and securities. You will need to possess strong business and operational knowledge including understanding what drives control and scale and risk management across production processes and
experience driving process reengineering and improvement.
