Business Analyst
The Enterprise Technology Group services the organisation on a global basis as a data service provider, coupled with information delivery channels to provide data to their customers. This group supports numerous business lines, which includes the front office, risk, regulatory oversight, finance and Retail with the provision of their data and the provisioning of tools to utilise the data. Currently the Enterprise Technology Group has a multi year strategic programme of work to transform the existing data architecture and reporting offerings in conjunction with a number of critical projects.
The role of Business Analyst is a key role within the team and requires a skill set that encompasses the full spectrum of business analyst activities through the project life cycle but with a particular attention on data analysis, data workflow, reporting and end user data support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Capture clarification of business requirements, in particular data and reporting requirements, through a range of analysis techniques
- Supporting data recipients in their use and understanding of the data available through the data service layer
- Providing direct input into project timelines, estimation, action plans risk management procedures whilst providing sound delivery approaches to meet business needs
- Acting as a proxy customer with the development teams, facilitating open communication between the customer development team
- Driving reviewing test scripts for both system integration and user acceptance
- Driving user acceptance criteria with the customer
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience
- Proven business analysis experience and strong analytical skills within an Asset Management or Investment Banking environment with a track record of successful implementations
- Technical analyst skills and experience of data analyst work
- Demonstrate a successful track record of building strong business relationships
- Strong experience in business process re-engineering, analysis, user requirement gathering, gap analysis, cost benefit analysis, workshop facilitation business case development
- Experience of working with offshore delivery teams
- Delivery and results focused with the ability to work in a challenging environment
- Sound technical understanding and the commercial acumen to exploit IT for competitive advantage
- Strong customer awareness business support focus
- Experience using the Eagle PACE product or other similar vendors would be advantageous
Given the nature of the role you will need to be an exceptional communicator, possess drive and demonstrate your ability to build strong relationships, deal with senior stakeholders and negotiate delicate matters with passionate stakeholders who have extremely high expectations. You will need to be very articulate and structured in your work.
