The Task:

To design, develop and support the Cash Equities Trading Desk.

The client:-

My client is a leading investment bank based in Ontario with offices globally including ASIA-PAC and EMEA. They have a very successful Cash Equities trading desk and they now require a Java Developer who has previous experience in Front Office within a financial services environment to support the traders and build out a desk platform. This position is ideal for a candidate who wants to be close to the business, sit on the trading desk and gain exposure to Quant modelling along the way.

• Previous financial services front office experience

• Excellent commercial experience building out Greenfield platform using Java

• Excellent communication and ability to liaise with Traders and Quants

• To support trading activities of the front office Cash Equities team

• To design and develop a Greenfield new desk platform

• To drive the Cash Equities team forward using and implementing the latest Java based technologies
