Harrington Starr is working with a leading Global Financial Brokerage to find a Senior Java Developer to work on the integration and middleware development of a low latency Trading System.
As the a Senior Java Developer (Middleware, Tibco, Core Java, Multi Threading, PCAP, Corvil, FIX, Fast) you will be working on the development of a middleware that integrates this Java-based Low Latency Trading System into the Brokerage's own systems. You will become primarily responsible for this system and will need to build low-latency management/monitoring tools in Java in order to main the optimum latency. You will need a strong understanding of FIX/FAST messaging and will need to be able to develop in highly multi-threaded Java with a strong grasp of concurrency.
You will work closely with key executives including the product owner, CTO and CIO all of whom have a key interest in the project. This is a highly important strategic role within the Brokerage and one that will be vital as the Brokerage looks to convert into an exchange.
This Brokerage/Exchange is one of the largest globally and works with a range of different assets, although this particular system will focus on Fixed Income, Interest Rates and Swaps. You will have the opportunity to grow within the exchange and work with a large range of different asset classes. This is a key strategic role within the company and will present substantial growth opportunities for anyone looking for the next step in their career.
As the Senior Java Developer (Middleware, Tibco, Core Java, Multi Threading, PCAP, Corvil, FIX, Fast) you will need experience of:
* Strong Core Java development with Multi Threading + Concurrency - Essential
* Experience with Connectivity, such as FIX or FAST protocols - Essential
* Knowledge of Latency Monitoring or Management Software - Highly Beneficial
* Experience with Middleware and Integration - Highly Beneficial
* Strong knowledge of Java Messaging Services (JMS) - Highly Beneficial
* Strong experience with Tibco RV/EMS - Highly Beneficial
