Harrington Starr is working with a leading Global Financial Brokerage/Exchange to find a Senior Java Integration Developer to work on the integration and latency monitoring of a Low Latency Trading System.
As the Senior Java Integration Developer (Middleware, Low Latency Management, Connectivity, FIX, FAST, JMS, Tibco) you will be working with high performance, low Latency Trading Systems to create bespoke tools that monitor it's latency. You will also be working on the integration of the middleware software in the exchange with these low latency trading systems.
Ideally you will be a Senior Java Developer with experience of working with highly multi threaded and concurrent Java with strong knowledge of Financial Messaging, particularly around FIX and FAST protocols. You will need strong experience with JMS and Tibco (EMS or RV) and will need to have previously worked on the integration of middleware software.
This Brokerage/Exchange is one of the largest globally and works with a range of different assets, although this particular system will focus on Fixed Income, Interest Rates and Swaps. You will have the opportunity to grow within the exchange and work with a large range of different asset classes. This is a key strategic role within the company and will present substantial growth opportunities for anyone looking for the next step in their career.
As the Senior Java Middleware Integration Developer (Middleware, Low Latency Management, Connectivity, FIX, FAST, JMS, Tibco) you will need experience of:
* Strong Core Java development with Multi Threading - Essential
* Experience with Financial Messaging Protocols, such as FIX or FAST protocols - Essential
* Experience with Middleware and Integration - Highly Beneficial
* Strong knowledge of JMS and/or TIBCO - Highly Beneficial
* Knowledge of Latency Monitoring or Management Software - Beneficial
* Experience with Wireshark or PCAP - Beneficial
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Java Integration Developer (Middleware, Low Latency Management, Connectivity, FIX, FAST, JMS, Tibco) to take a key strategic role in a leading exchange working closely with low latency systems monitoring the latency's produced.
