A leading Investment Bank in San Francisco is looking for a rock star Senior Java Software Engineer to help build their next generation IR/FX algo trading platform. This programmer will be involved in the full SDLC but particularly the architecture and design of the low latency nature of this algo trading platform. As a Java guru within the group you will also be tasked with developing particular components of the trading platform in Java (Order Gateways, Feed Handlers, Order Managers etc…) as well as Execution Strategies. You will spearhead the architecture and implement coding best practises whilst mentoring other developers within the team.
Key responsibilities;
- Spearhead architecture, design and implement coding best practises
- Lead the development for next generation FX algo trading platform
- Develop particular components of the trading platform in Java (Order Gateways, Feed Handlers etc)
- Developer Execution Strategies
- Mentor other developers within the team
Key skills and qualifications;
- At least 5+ years programming in Java
- Secondary knowledge of C++ is a major plus
- Experience with low latency real-time trading platforms
- Written verbal communication
- Computer Science, Electrical Engineering degree or similar discipline
- Experience and interested in analyzing and optimizing latency/throughput of trading platform
- Familiarity with Execution Algos and sound understanding of CLOB trading as well as various Exchange Protocols (FIX, ITCH/OUCH etc…)
