Harrington Starr is working with a leading Financial Risk Vendor to find a Senior Java Software Engineer to work in a team creating a highly multi threaded application that is being rolled out to their clients in the Financial Sector.

As the Senior Java Software Engineer (J2SE, Multi-Threading, High Performance, TDD) you will be working in an agile team on the full life cycle development of a highly multi threaded application. This application is currently live on-site a number of leading Financial Asset Managers and is about to be rolled out to a number of new clients. Your role will be too enable the application to be used by an infinite number of users at once and maintain high performance by writing highly multi-threaded code and combating issues of clustering.

This Financial Risk Vendor has been continually growing and has added a number of new clients at the start of year, which is what is driving this growth. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and really add value to a team that needs to create an application that can run smoothly and quickly on an increasing number of client sites.

The Senior Java Software Engineer (J2SE, Multi-Threading, High Performance, TDD) will need:

* Strong experience of Core Java Development
* Experience with writing multi-threaded code
* Knowledge of Test Driven Development
* Experience writing Unit Tests
* Knowledge of Spring + Hibernate
