Harrington Starr is working with a leading Financial Data Analytics Firm to find a Senior Java Technical Consultant to work on the development of a leading business intelligence solution.
As the Senior Java Technical Consultant (Core Java, OLAP, BI, Data Analytics) you will be working predominantly on client sites, creating and implementing a leading data analytics solution. This is one of the leading products on the market and you will begin by having extensive training on it. Your role will then be to work with the clients to develop applications around the API that are bespoke to each client. You'll need to have a strong understanding of Core Java 1.6 and ideally will come from a mathematics background and so be able to have a good grasp of the data analytics aspect of the role.
This firm's product is used throughout the Financial industry and is starting to be used to across other industries as well, becoming the leading Data Analytics product on the market. They have added a number of new clients over the last year and are looking to increase the size of the team in London to compliment the teams in New York and Singapore.
The Senior Java Technical Consultant (Core Java, OLAP, BI, Data Analytics) will need:
* Good grasp of Core Java Development experience - Essential
* Experience in a client facing environment, e.g. a consultancy - Highly Beneficial
* A mathematics background - Highly Beneficial
* An understanding of multi-threading - Beneficial
* Experience with Spring and Hibernate - Beneficial
