Senior LATAM Client Advisor; Top Performing Private bank; Miami
My client is building out their international private banking department and the LATAM market is a key focus for their growth. Having been present in Latin America since their birth, this bank has a great understanding of the market works and how to attract UHNW clients in the region. Having achieved significant growth in 2012, my client has demonstrated their ability to compete with their tier one competitors and have outperformed them in this market. Clients in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Chile and Ecuador already have assets with the private bank and clients are well aware of the brand name therefore transferring your existing client base and prospecting new clients in Latin America should not be a problem.
My client offers a leading platform that is competitive with any bank servicing Latam Clients and they are also strong on the Corporate and institutional side. In this role you would be responsible for managing and focusing on the UHNW segment. The key markets for my clients and their largest AUM lies within the Brazilian market, Mexican market and Colombia / Argentina mainly due to the size of the countries and potential of wealth. However they are not restricted to these markets and are also looking for experiences private bankers covering Venezuela, Ecuador, Uruguay, Peru and other countries in Latin America. My client has been hugely successful in this market and is constantly growing therefore the are specifically looking for experienced client advisors/financial advisors with at least 7 years experience of covering the LATAM market. They are looking for someone who is currently managing a book of private clients and someone who is confident that part of their book will move with them. This banker must be entrepreneurial in nature and be motivated to grow with the bank. You will not just be a number at this bank, you will be a senior member of the team and be heavily involved with the strategy for their expansion out of Miami into the international markets. My client has offices globally with presence in all of the major financial hubs and have significant coverage of the LATAM market from their Geneva, London, Miami, New York and onshore LATAM offices therefore there is flexibility for the candidate to be based out of one of these offices if relocation is an issue but the priority is for their Miami office.
As expected suitable candidates for this position should demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- First class product knowledge and technical skills
- A demonstrable track record in client acquisition and sourcing new clients
- A strong knowledge of the wealth management industry in LATAM
My client is realistic in their expectations and are looking for potential as well as experience but would be looking for a successful candidate to build a book of around 60m USD in the first 12 months. Salary offered will be a competitive basic salary with a bonus on top based on performance.
