Business Unit Overview: The EMEA PCI team is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all on-boarding activities within BlackRock, across the region. The primary focus of the team is to establish the framework required to deliver a best in class client service experience. The team works with the numerous internal and external stakeholders, namely the Global Client and Portfolio Management groups, to ensure the successful delivery of these events. There are 2 sub-groups within PCI –
- Portfolio Implementation and Design (PID): Works with sponsors, clients and all relevant stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions and safely implement portfolios
- Portfolio Data Integrity Group (PDIG): Structures portfolio data in core systems in line with the account objectives, to ensure that client assets can be accurately managed and services
Job Purpose/Background: The role carries responsibility for establishing the client service framework for new BlackRock clients. In addition, the role will also ensure the timely and accurate implementation of new, change and termination events. It is a role that is exposed to significant financial, reputational and operational risk, and consequently requires a highly-skilled Client Service Operations specialist to perform the launch-lead function. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of internal and external stakeholders to perform the tasks necessary to ensure new and existing clients experience client service excellence from BlackRock
- Assumes ownership for the efficient and timely implementation of client change events
- Establish a deep understanding of the client requirements when on boarding a new relationship to BlackRock
- Gain and utilize a thorough knowledge of the business infrastructure/ architecture in which we work. This incorporates excellent system and product knowledge, inter alia
- Work in partnership with more senior members of PID, both in London and Edinburgh, and also globally, to successfully launch events of a more complex nature.
- Constantly explore avenues for adding value to the service proposition
- Apply time management attributes to balance launch lead activities alongside ad-hoc project work.
Development Value: The successful candidate will be working in a team that is critical to the efficient take-on of client activity within BlackRock. Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience within the Financial sector, ideally with an Asset Management Firm, Custodian or Fund Administrator
- Background within an onboarding environment seen as a differentiator
- Professional qualifications i.e. IMC desirable
- Fluency in a European language seen as a an advantage
- Relevant degree preferred
