Reporting to the Head of Legal IT IP this role is responsible to provide quality, commercially astute and timely sourcing and technology legal advice to ANZ clients in Asia in an efficient and pro-active manner.

You will be responsible for assisting the business with instructing external legal advisers to ensure value for money and appropriate cost control, where possible keep work in-house rather than brief out.

Ensure internal clients are provided with quality sourcing and technology legal services (including telecommunications, IP and eCommerce), with a particular focus on being pro-active, efficient and 'adding value', including ensuring that customers are aware of the legal risks involved in their transactions, and the implications of, and reasons behind, legal advice provided to them.

Able to demonstrate a focus on team culture and enhance the smooth operation of the IT IP and Asia Legal teams and the broader business teams whilst protecting ANZ's interests in relation to sourcing and technology related engagements with suppliers and customers of technology services. The successful candidate will work with members of IT IP and Asia Legal to ensure compliance with and improvement of internal policies and processes.

To be considered for the opportunity you will have gained a law degree from a leading law school with at least 8 years of solid experience in IT, IP and procurement preferably for a financial institution, gained either in-house or with a reputable law firm. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal English skills.
