A leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation is seeking a Senior Learning Consultant
The Senior Learning Consultant will deliver, design and develop learning primarily on Sales Skills with specific focus on sales management. The successful candidate will be trained to deliver and support a range of sales skills programs including Creating Client Value, Target Account Selling and Situational Sales Negotiation.
- Delivery of core sales skills program including Creating Client Value, Target Account Selling and Situational Sales Negotiation
- Provide support, either as a coach, in classrooms, over the telephone to sales teams and sales managers in implementing the sales methodology including in active deal situations
- Work on needs analysis, curriculum design and development, web-based training (WBT) design and development, and instructor-led training design and development
- Hold accountability for the quality and timeliness of training material development together with meeting course delivery objectives and standards
- The role will require travel to offices throughout Asia and potentially to other regions
- The trainer is expected to develop skills and professional knowledge in selling
- On occasion, the trainer will be required to support Business Divisions in developing proposition workshops.
The learning world is constantly changing as new techniques for developing and delivering training are suggested; hence innovation and a willingness to try new approaches are essential. A learning consultant must uphold the group standards for delivery and development and actively support process development.
Mandatory skills:
- Solid sales training experience, preferably with sales management experience
- Ability to coach sales teams and sales leaders on the application of skills and processes learned
- BA or BS or foreign equivalent University Degree
- A good overall understanding of the financial markets
- A strong knowledge of customer business needs and customer workflows
- Strong engagement skills, the ability to create and build client relationships
- Proven Presentation skills and strong technical aptitude, working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a creative approach to communicating with clients, sales and the Client Specialist group
- Good English language skills
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge and experience with trading floor technology; including data applications is useful
- Experience in the following areas is an advantage: Global Project Virtual Teamwork, Classroom Delivery, eLearning Delivery, Instructional Design, Project Management, Training Needs Analysis, Business Partnership (Internal Clients, Training Program Sponsors).
