Senior Legal Advisor
Our client, an international private bank is looking for a Senior Legal Advisor who is fluent in German and Italian to join their team and work with the business and other departments to mitigate legal risks and help facilitate the business.
Duties Include:
- Identify the legal risks in the business and ensure that it meets applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide advice in legal matters for the benefit of the bank.
- Advice in all legal matters in connection with the private banking business.
- Assisting in contract negotiations and drafting of tailor-made contracts.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements for the business.
- Help in the provision of advice to the business on legal issues.
- Ensure that effective procedures are in place to monitor, control and mitigate contractual, litigation, legislative and intellectual property risk.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to the business and Senior Management in relation to existing and new business initiatives.
- Prepare and review of general banking agreements.
- Liaise with external regulators in regards to queries and issues.
- Lead or assist in ad hoc projects when necessary.
The preferred candidate will ideally have a Swiss Attorney with either a private banking or wealth management background and be able to demonstrate fluent communications skills in both German and Italian. The individual would also have the ability to deal with all levels of business effectively.
