Senior Legal Officer – Luxembourg recruitment

My client is looking for a Senior Legal Officer in the structured finance space with the opportunity to develop this service within the company.

The position comes with an excellent package and the opportunity to grow quickly within the company. Please note that you must be in possession of a law degree to be considered for this role.

This role involves a number of important responsibilities including:

- Leading and participating in deal teams for a wide variety of structured finance transactions including document review, negotiations and signing/closing of transactions;

- Coordinating and maintaining contacts with key stakeholders including clients, tax advisors, other company offices, originators, investment bankers, trustees and collateral agents;

- Participating and supporting commercial activities;

- Involved in the setting up new entities including Luxembourg companies under securitization law;

- Playing an important client-facing role in meetings and the bidding process for new clients;

- Drafting of legal documentation;

- Maintaining legal knowledge of regulations and developments in structured finance.

With a role of this nature the following person profile would be an ideal fit:

- You must hold a law degree obtained in a civil law or common law jurisdiction;

- Excellent experience in a transaction practice including a minimum of 2 years experience with structured finance transactions including CLO/CDO, repackaging transactions, RMBS/CMBS, programs, LPN and asset finance;

- You must currently be working at a Law Firm, Investment Company, Trust Company or Corporate Services Provider;

- Closed a minimum of 50 cross border transaction both leading and participating in deal teams;

- Strong legal analytical skills;

- Leadership potential;

- Ability to independently drive projects and transactions to a close;

- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail;

- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
