Exciting new role for a Senior Systems Linux Engineer to work on an exciting Greenfield team at this leading prop trading firm that remains on the cutting edge of algorithmic trading. My client is looking for a gifted Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join and help develop a highly focused global team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a distributed Linux and Cisco Network environment. As an effective technical leader, you will take ownership, be resourceful, solve unique problems and produce innovative visionary solutions that work efficiently and effectively across business units.
The successful candidate will have a strong Linux background and Network background in TCP/IP and Administration background.
Key Skills and Requirements:
• Expertise in various flavors of Linux (Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu) including customized kernels. Ability to adapt tools between Linux distributions and kernel versions.
• Experience in the Network Side Cisco, IOS, Arista, EOS, Multicast, PIM, BGP and OSPF
• Ideally experience in Cobbler, Foreman, Puppet, Kickstart, Hadoop, Solarflare Low Latency systems and Multicast.
• The successful candidate will have experience either working for a Hedge Fund, Prop Trading Firm, Investment Bank or within Financial Services.
