Senior Management Accountant

Full Job Description

Our client - a high- profile University based in London - is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join them on a nine month temporary to permanent opportunity as they undergo a systems upgrade from Efinancials to E5.

As well as proven experience assisting or leading on systems upgrade projects, a background in Financial Planning and Analysis is desirable as you will be:

- Supporting the Head of Management Accounts in leading on the implementation of the management accounting functions to the new financial system
- Review current management accounting processes
- Working with Project Implementation Team to implement the budgeting, planning and forecasting models (Collaborative Planner)
- Work with end-users to ensure their requirements are met
- Co-ordinate transfer of cost-centres, nominal accounts, job codes and other relevant data to new system
- Co-ordinate the roll-out of the budgeting, planning and forecasting system throughout the University
- Provide appropriate training to staff members
- Undertake some hands-on accounting throughout if need be.

This is a dynamic and interactive team so strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior members of staff is vital. A background within a commercial business is preferable but not compulsory.Goodman Masson is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
