Senior Manager – Group Consumer Bank Finance recruitment

Key Roles Responsibilities

Your main responsiblilities will include:

- Responsible for the financial integrity of the Consumer Bank Distribution Channels and Personal Banking functions and for ensuring a robust framework to enable fact based decision-making

- Support CB transformational initiatives to standardise/ simplify process infrastructure

**Distribution Channels
Support Group Distribution Head in delivering short long term strategic financial objectives in growing the SCB franchise

**Personal Banking
Support CB strategy focus on making the Personal Banking segment profitable and implementation of customers propositions

You will support the relevant Head of Finance, Group CB Finance in the following key areas:

i)  Support the efforts of the Group Business Heads to deliver annual budget performance by improving the information flow to achieve accuracy and timeliness. This includes;
- Streamlining available MIS and improving report format and contents to achieve world class standard
- Ensuring accuracy of financial numbers and key performance indicators and liaison with Group Country teams  to improve reporting of such 
- Establish a positive working relationship with other Business Finance personnel in the network and utilize this where appropriate.
- Building and roll out of financial models
- Review and challenge assumptions of plans as reflected in the Business Plans and Product Programs

ii) Financial Stewardship - Performance Analysis, Forecasting, Budgeting, etc
- Undertake pro-active detailed cost investment management analysis to ensure risk opportunities are duly managed and able to support business in decision making by suggesting options, recommendation and financial impact. 
- Improve the cost management reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to highlight key financial performance trends and variances.
- - Assist Group CFO in preparation of financial discussion for monthly performance review meeting (CB PMC) providing clear direction and insights to the business.
- Validate and ensure reasonable assumptions are used in country financial forecast.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis for actual/budget/forecast.

iii) Support the efforts of the Group country teams in the areas of new opportunities/ markets by providing financial modeling expertise.

Qualifications  Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

- Relevant experience in areas such as Planning, Finance, Accounting and/or MIS
- Good working knowledge in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis process
- Experienced in financial and profitability modeling and translation of results for management decision-making
- Strong analytical and technical finance background (Familiar with banking regulations and accounting standards)
- Able to identify control weaknesses and implement procedures to enhance controls.
- An eye for details and strong sense of need to uphold integrity of financial information
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills, forming positive working relationship in a matrix management and multicultural environment
