Senior Manager, Financial Control
As Senior Manager your team will be responsible for a broad range of external and internal reporting requirements and financial controls for the Institutional Bank. This includes daily and monthly PL and B/S control along with Regulatory reporting and assuming a key role on various strategic initiatives.
Managing a team of four, one team member will focus primarily on Product Control. As the manager you will have oversight and review function and be responsible for driving productivity and change for the service provided.
In addition the other 3 staff members will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of sub system and PSGL suspense/clearing accounts, daily accounting for futures transactions, and preparation of monthly/quarterly regulatory returns.
You will need:
- Leadership experience gained in a Banking environment - preferably product control
- Financial Markets Product Knowledge
- CPA/CA qualified
- Good knowledge of excel. Exposure to macros and visual basic useful.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of accounting systems
- Driven individual who is not afraid to be hands-on when required.
- Willingness to make changes to processes/controls and strive to constantly improve the end product of the team.
- Ability to build a strong, effective team over a period of time.
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
