About the role
We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) Finance team. In this Financial Control role you will support the MSIS division and specifically the Macquarie Specialised Investments (MSI) business. You will work closely with the MSI business team and finance staff, including senior management, to assist in delivering key strategic programs across the Group.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Management of the team responsible for the financial control of the Structured Products portfolio both in Sydney and Offshore
- Reviewing monthly management reporting for the MSI products, analysis of the balance sheet and commentary of statutory PLs
- Liaison with corporate reporting on counterparty information and any other required reporting
- Review of weekly PL reports for the MSI product including discussions with deal management teams and operations to resolve any issues.
- Review of the MSI products reconciliation schedules on a monthly basis
- New product review and analysis where appropriate
About you
To be successful, you will have demonstrated accounting and financial instruments knowledge through exposure to product accounting or accounting for financial instruments in a chartered environment. You will also have:
- CA qualification
- A background in product control or chartered environment with exposure to funds products
- Willingness to accept responsibility and delegate to others
- Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
- Exposure to financial and tax accounting and regulatory issues, including investments and equity accounting, hedging, funding and capital management
- Ability to plan ahead and manage team's deliverables/workload
