Senior Manager Group Financial Controls recruitment
High Finance Group is assisting a well established FTSE listed international insurance group in the appointment of a Senior Manager to lead their Group Financial Controls function.
This person will report directly into the Group Financial Controller, responsible for ownership and development of the financial control and reporting strategy and risk framework. This is a highly visible position involving regular stakeholder interaction within the business units and across neighbouring Group functions (Group Finance, Risk, Financial Planning and Analysis, Actuarial etc). You will also play a key role in the larger Solvency II implementation programme and ad-hoc projects aimed at improving operating efficiency.
It is essential that this person has extensive experience and understanding of the reporting requirements for a listed insurance business, as well as the ability to influence senior management in order to apply such necessary processes and required improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive post-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA / CPA ) experience of financial controls management (such as SOx / Sarbannes Oxley).
Equipped with high quality analytical, management and relationship building skills, the ideal candidate will be an accomplished communicator, able to influence senior management. Sufficient financial systems knowledge and proven risk identification expertise will be an advantage.
