Senior Manager, Liquidity Policy and Analytics recruitment
PURPOSE
The incumbent is expected to be a Liquidity Risk and business activity subject matter expert within Capital Markets Group Risk Management (GRM) by working with the businesses and monitoring their activities, monitoring developments in the marketplace, and ensuring policies and management presentations meet the highest regulatory standards for liquidity risk oversight and comply with bank-wide Liquidity Policy Framework.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish process for and conduct recurring in depth reviews of business lines and related financial transactions, funding activity, and intra-day settlement processes to ensure liquidity policies and measurement are correctly aligned.
Review business plans and ongoing business activities with the perspective of the liquidity implications, including review of sources and uses, encumbrance, transaction optionality and triggers, market and counterparty behaviour.
Create, modify and monitor Liquidity Standing Orders (policies) including conducting market and trading activity research and analytics.
Prepare presentations and present to Operating Committee, ALCO, CRO, Head of Market Risk as appropriate in support of the Director of Liquidity Risk Management.
Responsible to conduct sources and uses, encumbrance, and fungability analysis, investigating and documenting funding flows within Capital Markets using existing GRM liquidity resources.
Provide input and review of stress scenario modelling exercises.
Provide input and review on liquidity transfer pricing rules and processes.
Monitor regulatory developments and liquidity market conditions, and prepare commentary and presentations as required.
Lead, coordinate and collaborate other GRM Liquidity team resources on an as needed basis.
Coordinate and collaborate other GRM Market Risk, Finance, Corporate Treasury as required.

This role is high impact and critical to the overall measurement and reporting of Royal Bank’s liquidity risk.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Strong product knowledge across all asset, liability and contingent classes
- Experience with interpreting and implementing regulatory guidelines and best practices
- Experience with treasury management, asset/liability management
- Knowledge of risk management concepts and practices
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision and set own priorities and action plans to meet objectives
- Minimum high level understanding of IT systems and processes
Preferred:
- Relevant professional designations or equivalent: MA, MSc, MBA, PhD, CFA, CA, CGA, CMA.
