Senior Manager SOX and Financial Reporting
Overview:
Responsible for implementing, directing and overseeing the internal control compliance programs including Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation and implementation. Will conduct and direct tests and ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations. Reviews and appraises the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation. Oversee all aspects of financial reporting. Coordinates internal committee regarding Disclosure and Internal Control. Coordinates drafting of all filings with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), coordinates with Audit Committee, external auditors and SEC counsel, and enables final filing through SEC Edgar system.
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in accounting/finance or the equivalent in experience.
- Seven years of relevant experience in accounting/finance including public accounting experience.
- Two to three years industry accounting/financial analysis experience.
- Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA and/or CMA license and managerial experience is preferred, or in the process of securing a license.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting, auditing and internal controls.
- SOX experience (control/process documentation, testing, issue remediation and auditing, etc.).
- Experience in design, implementation or audit of internal control concepts and procedures.
