Senior Manager – Valuation Control WB recruitment

Job Description

The main function of this role is to independently assess the valuation of assets and liabilities within the loans businesses.
The role will involve close coordination with the respective Product Control, GMR and Front Office staff

Key Roles Responsibilities

1. Perform monthly price testing for ALM and other related credit products on a timely and accurate basis ensuring all clients have been informed about the results the price testing.

2. Interact with internal and external stakeholders representing the portfolios covered including, but not limited to, external and internal auditors, front office, regulators, etc.

3. Keep abreast of industry developments that may affect the performance of the loans portfolio.

4. Perform any adhoc requests by management.

5. CONTRIBUTES TO
1. A first class Valuation Control division, which continually seeks to challenge and improve standards.

2. Driving closer alignment between Product Control and Valuation Control.

3. Positioning of Valuation Control as a more business focused function with a strong understanding of the business and its drivers.

4. A strong internal control environment, which will ensure the business continues to grow in a stable and well controlled manner.

Qualifications Skills

1. An experience with ALM products and/or credit products preferably in a valuation control function. Open to candidiates with trading, market risk, or consulting backgrounds as well.

2. Strong understanding of ALM products and treasury and credit markets.

3. A bachelors degree in a finance related field (Accounting, business administration, economics, and finance); advanced degree a plus.

4. Knowledge of IAS is a plus.

5. Strong excel skills and other valuation tools (INTEX, Bloomberg, etc).

6. Strong communication skills.

7. Team player.
8. Strong sense of integrity and financial independence is required.

9. Detailed product knowledge, fully conversant with industry and accounting issues, valuation techniques, risk issues etc.
