Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job in Toronto Area N2l3x2, Ontario Canada
Position Summary:
- Main technical liaison of engineering teams between customer and our multi-site manufacturing facilities. Maintain excellent relationship with engineers at customer and manufacturing sites to ensure seamless information flow.
- 60-70% Located at customer's design and manufacturing facility
- Actively participate in NPI new product introduction activities at customer and manufacturing sites, starting from product design review for easy of assembly and testing, observe engineering builds, define fixture / tooling needs and provide design recommendations, follow through on qualification process, support production ramp activities.
- Coordinate communication between customer and manufacturing sites of sustaining activities on process changes, product design recommendations, quality concerns, improvements of assembly process, fixture design, and testing process.
- Become the subject matter expert of overall product manufacturing processes and capable of providing hands on support and training of new product builds at manufacturing sites.
Qaulifications:
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Excellent communication skills, with product introduction experience working with customer and vendors
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Hands on assembly fixtures design, sourcing, qualification in electronic assembly preferred
- Experience with product testing processes of consumer mobile electronic devices preferred
- Experience in Lean implementation, 6-Sigma certification preferred
- 30% travel to US, Mexico, Asia required
