Senior Marketing Communication Manager, Taipei, Asset Management
The main areas of responsibility for the role is the creation and execution of marketing programs and initiatives to help drive sales across a number of distribution channels in relation to COMPANY’s range of offshore funds - and position COMPANY for continued growth in Taiwan.
The role is based in Taiwan and is part of a dedicated Global Marketing group at COMPANY working in partnership with sales comprising on-the-ground marketing professionals across all our major country businesses/regions, including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The role will report directly into the Head of International Intermediary Marketing in London, but will liaise extensively with the broader Asia regional marketing team on a day to day basis, as well as the Asia regional head and the country head for Taiwan.
Key responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Taiwanese business head and sales to define the right marketing approach and associated deliverables that are required to help drive sales across retail and quasi institutional (such as fund of funds) distribution channels.
- Manage the delivery of all financial promotions ensuring that the information is constructed in accordance with COMPANY compliance and regulatory guidelines.
- Responsible for the marketing budget.
- Develop value added and campaign related marketing material to assist the retail distribution strategy.
- Oversee the organisation and development of fund manager roadshows, external conferences and participation at distributor events.
- Responsible for defining the strategic direction of the website and for its ongoing maintenance, and other digital initiatives.
- Supervision of fact sheet production across the range of cross border funds that are distributed into Taiwan.
- Assess, review and recommend outside vendors as appropriate.
- Ensure that products are marketed in the appropriate market places for the profile of the product.
- Maintain good understanding of the regulatory environment and partner effectively with compliance.
A university graduate preferably with a business degree with at least 5 years of marketing experience in a financial services industry, preferably in Asset Management and/or Retail Banking environment. Candidates who have strong agency background will also be considered. You should be able to utilise computer software such as Microsoft Office, Web design, etc. to the best of your work performance. Ability to work independently and a good team player coupled with excellent project management skills and are self-motivated to work in a high-pressure and multi-cultural environment. An understanding of the regulatory environment is important, as well as strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with many functions and people from across the organization, both regionally and internationally.
You will also be required to hold the regulatory license, either a Senior Broker or SICE license.
