Senior Marketing Manager - Amazon Payments
This marketing professional will create, manage and execute marketing strategies and programs, and will have a key role in driving the distribution and adoption of the Amazon Payment Account (including its P2P payment capabilities) with customers, Amazon Simple Pay with sellers of goods or services and Flexible Payment Services with developers. This is a ground floor opportunity to help set the strategic marketing direction of the following highly visible products in a core business at Amazon.
- Amazon Payment account is the simple way for consumers to pay online without re-entering their shipping address and credit card numbers, sharing their payment information and guarantee the condition and timely delivery of the merchandise and services that they buy. They can also send and receive money from their friends and family online or via the mobile phone.
- Amazon Simple Pay is a payments-only service for digital goods services providers and nonprofits to accept payments online. Amazon Simple Pay provides easy to integrate HTML code to enable one-time payments, subscriptions, marketplace payments and donations.
- Amazon FPS is the first payments service designed from the ground up specifically for developers. It is built on top of Amazon's reliable and scalable infrastructure and allows developers to accept payments from Amazon's tens of millions of customers.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Conceive, create and execute innovative marketing programs to achieve growth of the Amazon Payments brand, and performance goals with Customers, Merchants and Developers.
- Develop, supervise, report, and continually improve upon "success" metrics.
- Partner with groups across Amazon to develop marketing programs, identify new opportunities, customer communications and related pilots that leverage Amazon's strengths across the company, aligning with other Amazon products and teams.
- Create marketing collateral (including print, digital and video media); manage internal external agencies and creative partners. Collaborate with the Amazon Payments business and product owners to manage online marketing channels. Drive substantial and sustainable growth.
- Understand business, marketing, and legal constraints and opportunities to drive the growth of the suite of Amazon Payments Products.
- Leverage and improve current marketing Amazon channels to increase unit sales and revenue.
- Proactively plan to address new market opportunities and to react to unforeseen challenges.

- 7-10 years of relevant work experience in consumer marketing, marketing communications at digital/high-technology consumer and/or financial services companies/products experience .
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Excellent understanding of consumer and/or small business product marketing strategies especially in the digital and high-technology space and financial services space.
- Ability to aggressively create innovative new consumer marketing programs that generate results.
- Experience delivering high-quality programs and content to a targeted range of audiences across an array of media.
- High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with senior management on a regular basis.
- Comfort and proficiency at leveraging precious resources, including marketing budgets and people resources by using creative and innovative marketing approaches that break the mold to get outstanding results.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
- Composed, poised and professional demeanor.
- History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
- An MBA is preferred.
