Senior Metrics & Analytics Analyst, Corporate & Investment Bank Compliance

The Corporate Investment Bank ("CIB") offers a broad suite of investment banking, market-making, prime brokerage, and treasury and securities products and services to a global client base of corporations, investors, financial institutions, government and municipal entities. Within Banking, the CIB offers a full range of investment banking products and services in all major capital markets, including advising on corporate strategy and structure, capital-raising in equity and debt markets, as well as loan origination and syndication.
This role resides within CIB Compliance Management Processes and is accountable for the team's creation and utilization of metrics and analytics globally. The individual will work closely with the firm's oversight and control group, as well as working closely with all product compliance teams on matters related to metrics and analytics, supporting processes and compliance risk management.
This position requires a strong knowledge and background in analytical design and metrics creation as well as familiarity with compliance, risk and audit best practices.
The ability to communicate effectively is critical as the role will partner with Corporate Functions Control and work across global CIB Compliance to support the strategic direction and goals of the Compliance. High visibility to senior management is anticipated.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes and responsibilities to create/refine compliance metrics and templates
- Lead process reengineering to standardize, control and develop efficiencies
- Design, educate, and partner on standards, policies and procedures, templates and tools
- Establish protocols for metric data entry and items for escalation
- Troubleshoot issues with information owners, technology, or other content owners, as necessary
- Apply critical thinking to business requirements; identify, evaluate and propose procedural and technological solutions where necessary
- Establish sustainable reporting processes
- Communicate and drive adoption of standards
- Lead data working groups; establishing dialog, regular meetings, ongoing monitoring of progress, and follow-up
- Aggregate data across lines of business/regions for reporting critical information
- Participate in multiple project work streams concurrently
- Escalate items outside of agreed variances, emerging and current risks/issues and process improvement opportunities
- Manage deliverables and timescales
