Role Summary
The Middleware Application Administrator is a primary resource in supporting the core middleware architecture, which enables critical business systems. This job holder must possess advanced troubleshooting skills and detailed knowledge of the products used in our Infrastructure, as well as, the ability to learn new technologies in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide level 3 support for production environment as well as support for functional and performance testing
- Familiarity with the middleware architecture is made up of components based on both off the shelf and custom products such as: WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Server, WebLogic, SpringSourceTC, RobbitMQ, Gemfire
- Work all cross Development, Testing, Incident and Problem Management groups to implement new applications in production, install new releases of existing applications and troubleshoot issues across our Production Non-Production platform
Requirements
- 5+ years installation and configuration of Websphere Application on Unix operating system platform, experience on version 6.1 and up; 5+ years installation and configuration of Websphere Portal on unix operating system platform, experience with 5.1 and up, preferably 6.1
- 5 years administration and configuration of Websphere Portal with SQL back end database
- 5 years experience on WebSphere architectures and HA installations
- 3 years installation and configuration of Middleware platform, such as SpringSourceTC, WebLogic, Gemfire and integration experience
- 5 years experience on migrating, deploymenting and integrating application on middleware platform
- 5 years experience on maintaining and troubleshooting on middleware Application platform
- 2 years experience on middleware platform performance tuning
- 2+ years experience on leading a team of middleware engineers/administrators
- Willingness to work on high pressure, participate in 24x7 and weekend knowledge sharing, on-call support and deployment maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and standalone without a lot of support
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
