Senior Oil Risk Analyst recruitment
A requirement has arisen for a Senior Oil Risk Analyst to join the European based trading arm of a multi-billion pound Oil Trading business. Second to none in reputation they have established subsidiaries located in 10 different countries spanning the US, Europe, Middle East and ASIAPAC. With this role you will be responsible for managing the HQ and subsidiary portfolios, affording daily international exposure.
While a strong numerical background they are looking for an Analyst who has or is keen to support the development of a world class risk control function. Whilst working in line with the company's strategy the primary purpose of this position will be to support the Group's business and protect is interests.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysis of market positions, application of VAR measures
- Calculation and reporting of daily PL and exposure of global portfolio
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to internal policies and limits
- Provision of on-going market analysis, interpretation of, and daily risk reporting
- Ad-hoc Market or quantitative analysis
- Assist Director of Risk Management with special projects, development and implementation of
- Act as Oil Risk specialist (Fundamentals, contracts, data)
- Advise and influence internal stakeholders
- Deputise in Directors Absence to team of 5
The successful candidate will have proven experience in Oil trading risk management and of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment. English is the main working language in the office however additional fluency will be advantageous, either in French, German, or Russian. In addition a strong knowledge of SAP and Excel is required.
