My client is one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. They are a true leader in the investment space.
A position has arisen within their finance technology team for a technical Oracle developer / designer to join and work on a completely greenfield project. The ideal candidate will have exceptional design skills and experience as this role requires someone who can clearly show experience in understanding the problem domain and designing a data model that will allow high performance reading and writing. The data store needs to be bi-temporal and will be used by a global finance user base of approx 2000
Java will be used to manage an Event Stream Pattern of upto 200M events (Db / Cr) which need to be transformed and validated and stored in Oracle on a daily basis although there will be separate Java developers to take care of the Java work.
On top of this there will be two further types of processing that is required;
- These events are aggregated and feed near-real time into Oracle Financials.
- These events are aggregated across the time dimension to create life to date balances.
