For their plant in Renfrew they have an immediate requirement for Senior Piping Engineer (Staff)
I am recruiting an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to be based in my clients office in Renfrew. You will have extensive experience in Piping Design within the thermal power or wider experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear or other heavy industries.
You will be conducting detailed pipe modelling, stress analysis, supporting assessments including spring support specifications.
Conducting verification of subcontractor design work, such as calculations, computer models and drawings.
Estimations of bills of quantities and site surveys in response to client enquires.
Understanding valve selection and requisitioning processes.
Working closely with function engineers, project mangers, construction engineers and the proposal teams from the client enquiry through to project implementation. With the ability to lead a team of engineers as required to ensure deliver of projects.
Knowledge of industry codes and practices, such as ASME B31.1, BS EN13480, BS806, PED, PSSR etc.
Knowledge of using either PSA5 or Autopipe software
Minimum Qualification
HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical engineering with pipe design components.
Preferred Qualification
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Engineering Council Registered Engineer.
