Senior Portfolio Manager
Our client is a highly respected financial services business offering comprehensive financial and wealth management services to their clients. With proven success and a desire to continue to grow the wealth management business, a new position of Senior Portfolio Manager has been created in their investment management team.
As a key senior member of the investment team, you will assist in delivering quality top down macro research and bottom up stock analysis to the investment process and client investment outcomes including but not limited to:
- Providing top down economic research across domestic and global economies
- Formulating agreement on appropriate asset allocation within the investment cycle and underlying asset classes. Idea generation in tilting of portfolios
- Bottom up research and identifying select undervalued growth oriented stocks both domestic international, including small/emerging as well as fixed income within the underlying top down AA framework
- Provide input into the construction of Model Portfolios and manage the process
- You will also provide direction and guidance to the Senior Investment Advisors to deliver specific advice to the companies clients, in a tax aware manner and to coordinate other members of the Investment team.
Key requirements and experience are as follows:
- Appropriate tertiary and post graduate qualifications (possibly CFA).
- Extensive investment management industry experience
- Proven track record in managing Australian and/or Global/Emerging market equities.
- Strategic and tactical asset allocation experience highly desired
- Broader asset class experience highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong ability to present to a broad range of senior audiences
- Self-motivated and takes pride in delivering quality investment outcomes
- Ability to develop respect internally and work collaboratively within the team and broader business
- Strong conviction in ideas with the ability to deliver, discuss and debate in an easy collegiate manner
