The Retail Products and Customers (RPC) department is accountable for the end to end profitability and customer experience across the retail products and customer segments. The department delivers on these accountabilities by optimising product margins, increasing balance growth, supporting the key distribution channels and improving end to end processes, productivity and customer experience
The role:
The Retail Pricing team is part of the broader RPC team and ischarged withdeveloping, executing and monitoring pricing capabilities across the retail products. Crucial to the continued success of this team, the Senior Pricing Analyst (Modelling specialist) is responsible for scoping, developing and implementing pricing analytics for the retail bank; encompassing predictive models, segmentation, price sensitivity models, optimisation routines and decision support tools.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead a team of Analysts (2) to drive the development, implementation, monitoring and refinement of customer and portfolio pricing models
- Develop and maintain decision support tools for pricing models
- Provide assistance and advise on the impact of pricing models for business decisions
- Forge strategic relationships with Product and other stakeholders by supplying and recommending pricing analytics insights and embedding this into product offer and business processes
- Implement strategies for future pricing initiatives
What will help you succeed?
- Ideally a postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, economics, econometrics, statistics, computer science or engineering)
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- People management and leadership skills, with the ability to role-model and embed a high performance team culture
Technical:
- Commercial modelling / analytical experience
- Excellent SAS skills
- Experience extracting and manipulating GDW data using SQL
- Experience developing customer level models, such as price elasticity and propensity models and interpreting/communicating model output to stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of the financial industry and how analytics impacts business decisions
