Vice President, Product Control Asia
Summary
Unique opportunity within Global Financial Institution, seeking to hire a Business Unit Controller based in Hong Kong as part of an international team. You will set out the vision for your division in a standalone Controller role dealing directly with front office. The culture of this firm is direct and focused, cutting out unnecessary red tape. With a positive working environment, they have been carefully growing and increasing market share.
You will be responsible for the following products initially, as the business expands there will be scope to work with derivatives;
- Asia Cash Equity and Fixed Income brokerage
- Asia Listed Futures Options brokerage
- Principal trading PL experience
Key Responsibilities
- Daily PL for Asia Desks, Daily Consolidated Asia PL
- Monthly Reconciliation of Reported PL to Ledger
- Balance Sheet Certification for Asia books
- Review of IPV results (Price testing is done out of London/NY)
- FX sell-off for Asia Legal Entities
- Represent PC in New Product Working Groups in Asia
- Ad hoc Management Reporting
Background required
- Qualified Accountant
- Product Control/BAU/BUC experience
- Strong Team Builder and Player
Considerations:
- This high profile roles will be the key client facing product controller in Asia and must be able to build a relationship with the Front office, middle office, as well as Senior Asia management. The incumbent must work closely within the product control function to ensure that the PL reporting meets global standards and to ensure a suitable support model is in-place for the Asia region.
