Senior Product Controller – Rates recruitment
About Our Client
This large Investment Bank is looking to recruit a key member of staff, to foster change through an exciting time and in return will offer a fast track to career progression. The primary function of your department will be the preparation of the daily profit and loss statement, whilst ensuring a strong operating control environment around trading systems and processes. In addition, core Finance functionality is required to support the business in managing existing businesses and optimising growth opportunities.
Job Description
- Production of daily PL for all Rates and Credit business. Ensure that operating controls are effective and working
- Ensure month end reconciliations are performed and all balance sheet issues escalated
- Provide financial information and insight into the Rates and Credit Business including expense analysis, budgeting, forecasting, return on equity
- Deliver timely financial information for relevant Front Office, Business Management and other customers
- Build collaborative relationships with business partners (FO, Operations) and other key stakeholders in order to understand their information requirements
- Identify control weaknesses and improve process of current procedures
- Develop a detailed understanding of trading systems
- Ability to project manage and communicate status of process improvement initiatives
- Have the required technical skills to perform the job
- Key stakeholder in new system implementations
- Provide managers with awareness of issues Influence others in resolving issues

- Previous Product Control Experience (5+ years)
- Understanding of complex derivatives and Financial Markets
