Senior Product Manager- Corporate & Commercial Lending Market Segment recruitment
Overview:
This position works closely with the rest of the product management team, IT and analytical development groups within the SP Capital IQ organization in managing SP Capital IQ's Credit Analytics Platform (an assessment of credit platform that includes probability of default models, Credit Models and historical rating transition tables) and driving product enhancements to CapitalIQ for the broader Corporate, Commercial Lending and Specialty Organizations market segment. The Senior Product Manager will participate in the full range of product management activities, from defining product strategy, developing requirements, and helping with go-to-market activities and sales channel support. This position is also responsible for coordinating product testing and releases, managing matrixed and direct reports and providing product demonstration and training expertise.
Essential Accountabilities:
Product Strategy
- Works with clients, market participants and internal teams (including other product teams, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, IT, analytical teams and Data teams) to establish product vision and develop product roadmap for new and existing initiatives.
- Develops broad understanding of the market to identify opportunities and drive strategic decisions that motivate enhancement decisions.
- Responsible for maintaining the product plan and roadmap and provides input into the overall segment roadmap.
Product Development
- Works with the product management team and internal functional teams (including other product teams, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, IT, analytical teams and Data teams) to develop and deliver on the product plan.
- Refine and document our understanding of personas and use cases, and produces high level requirements.
Product Demonstration and Training
- Demonstrates product benefits to clients, prospects and internal stakeholders to support business development activities.
Additional Accountabilities:
Team Management
- Responsible for ensuring effective communication of status and providing product updates to internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for managing direct report and matrixed business analysts to drive projects to completion and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders.
Market Development Support
- Supports the Market Development organization in reviews potential market opportunities to provide direction for product development.
- Provides product expertise for marketing and tier 3 client support activities.
- Helps develop launch plans.
Product Testing
- Responsible for coordinating product testing, sets up processes and plans to ensure that the products are properly tested.
Skills
- 6-8 years of work experience in product management and development
- Knowledge and experience working with information services providers products strongly preferred
- Experience with risk analytics preferred
- Demonstrated team management and ability to deliver complex projects in a matrixed organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- BA or BS in a quantitative field such as finance, computer science or mathematics (MBA a plus)
