SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION recruitment
The successful candidate will lead the implementation of new business and client change on behalf of the Company Funds.
The job-holder will carry out the project management role personally for a complex project, but will also oversee and provide direction for projects run by less experienced team members. The role holder is required to work with considerable autonomy, sometimes dealing with major issues for which there is no clear cut solution, whilst still being able to provide judgement and clear direction.
The role is based in Edinburgh however travel to the supported Company sites is likely, as is travel to client premises in the UK.
Core Responsibilities:
- To provide or support high quality project delivery in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
- To provide lead input to the department’s contribution to the business area’s balanced score card.
- To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Company clients and their 3rd parties.
- To implement new business and business change to timescale, budget and to the requisite standard and quality.
- To develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with business colleagues in support of project delivery.
- To identify and mitigate project risks with an objective of zero defects once business transferred to the live environment.
- To manage and develop a team of staff who are responsible for the delivery of projects either within the Department or as a collective project team from across the business.
- To input into the planning of resources to achieve the department’s deliverables and support for the execution of recruitment in line with these plans.
- To maintain an awareness of topical market issues and in particular changes to legislation in Financial Services.

Core Requirements:
- Project Management experience particularly in the area of multiple work streams.
- Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities and risk profile.
- Ability to analyse and document business requirements and onward communicate to the project team.
- Professional accountancy qualification or evidence of good working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Project Management e.g. Prince 2 useful.
- Detailed knowledge of Investment Accounting and Fund Administration.
- Experience in business and process analysis and re-engineering.
- Experience of planning and delivery of business change initiatives through complete project life-cycle.
- Track record of effective man management.
