Your role will be a Global Engagement Project Manager responsible for a portfolio of high-profile clients. This is a senior management position focusing not only on winning and delivering first class client engagements but has an important internal role to develop the professional project management offering across our business. You will be responsible for the full project management life-cycle and will partner with the world-class tax technical teams.
You will be responsible for the management of the full project life cycle working with clients and internal engagement teams to:
Client facing
• Agree robust statements of work and support contractual;
• Design and implement robust governance and reporting structures;
• Produce SMART project plans and co-ordinate plans across work streams;
• Management risk/scope;
• Manage financials;
• Manage communications;
• Drive forward plans ensuring that both timelines and budgets are adhered to;
• This is also an important client relationship management role.
Engagement pursuit
• Work with colleagues to actively pursue opportunities, respond to tenders and prepare and present proposals.
Internal
• Advise colleagues internally on how best to use project management techniques on their engagements;
• Manage, train and develop a team of project managers across GES standardising our project management approach;
• Mentor junior project managers within the business.
You will report to an Engagement Partner and will work alongside the Engagement teams to deliver not only your client facing portfolio but to ensure that you create a distinctive client relationship.
To qualify you must possess:
- At least 5 years previous experience in project or programme management, either working for an institution or a consultancy firm or equivalent;
- Project Management qualifications i.e. MSP, Prince 2, PMP or equivalent;
- Excellent communication skills (including presentation skills);
- Good problem solving and analytical skills;
- Good numeracy skills;
- Degree qualified (minimum 2:1) or equivalent experience;
- Experience of managing/coaching/mentoring people.
This role may be structured as a 12 month FTC or as a permanent position. Tax knowledge is not a requirement but it would be advantageous.
