Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk

Do you have experience of processing large volumes of purchase ledger invoices and ideally dealt with complex queries regarding purchase order numbers, cost codes etc?

If so our client based in Basildon are seeking an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join them in a 6 month temporary job. You will be part of a newly formed team and be responsible for monitoring invoices and ensuring that queries are resolved in a timely manner so that invoices are paid promptly. This will involve returning invoices to suppliers where they are received locally and incorrectly addressed and assisting suppliers with correct details.

This will be an interesting and challenging role as my client will be using a new ledger system from their centralised office on behalf a network of offices across the organisation. They are seeking an individual who has proven experience in handling large volumes of invoices and would have used an electronic ledger system (Oracle-based) as well as the experience of dealing with complex queries.
