This specific team provides solutions that allow lines of business across the bank to ensure that key data flows are adequately controlled, in support of risk and regulatory imperatives. The group supports a number of reconciliation tools utilising a variety of technologies, so technical versatility is an important requirement.
This is an opportunity to be involved with a very high profile project with one of the world’s biggest banks.
Responsibilities:
Play a leading role in the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to delivery, within an Agile development process.
Act as Python mentor to other developers.
Lead the team to establish practices for the design, development, testing and delivery of Python code.
Establish continuous deployment practices and tools.
Contribute to development tasks in other technologies, including MS SQL, SSRS, .NET
Contribute to team activities including planning, reviews and retrospectives.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a senior Python developer.
Technologies (essential): Python.
Technologies (desirable): MS SQL, SSRS, .NET, Windows server, ITRS, Frontier (or Sungard intelliMATCH)
Experience of agile practices (preferably Scrum)
Reconciliation processes within a large financial services organisation.
Cross-asset risk assessment.
