We are currently searching for a Senior Real Estate Analyst.
The Senior Real Estate Analyst will support Multifamily Asset Management and Development. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with asset management duties; financial modeling, client reporting, market research, due diligence, underwriting, and Investment Committee package preparation.
Asset Management
· Assist with maximizing total returns for each asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve performance
· Assist with the review of annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
· Oversee and participate in the creation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for clients and senior management
· Assist Asset Manager on various analytical and financial issues relating to specific projects
· Perform market research to determine/verify underwriting assumptions which help determine project feasibility
· Work closely with third party property managers on reporting and key operating metrics
· Collaborate with information systems and technology to optimize Yardi system performance
· Assist with system set up, configuration and the development of new reports within the Yardi system
· Assist with financing and investment dispositions
· Conduct special research and assist with special projects as required
Market Research
· Analyze and review third party market research reports quarterly and notifying team of relevant trends and/or changes in target markets
· Prepare and or update quarterly pipeline reports for targeted markets
· Assist with specific strategic market analysis to identified submarket to assess the viability of an existing or proposed project
Development
· Work collaboratively with the development team in evaluating potential development investment opportunities
· Conducts various aspects of new investment due diligence
· Assist and or prepares financial feasibility analysis/ proforma related to proposed new investments including sensitivity analysis
· Assists and or prepares Investment Committee packages for proposed new investments
· Assist and or prepares materials for equity packages
· Assist the with lender requests including loan and appraisal requests
· Assist with equity partner/investor requests including due diligence, pro forma, comps, pipeline
· Assist with development budget tracking including: costs-to-date and capital spent spreadsheets
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a related degree or equivalent experience
Experience Level
- At least five years’ of applicable relevant experience
- Minimum of three years ‘of related multifamily investment analysis experience preferably with a developer, institutional investment company or related multifamily real estate firm
- Thorough working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Experience with Yardi Voyager, Budgeting, Job Cost and Investment Manager models preferred
- Ability to multi-task;
- Professional appearance and demeanor;
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
- Thorough knowledge of multifamily real estate transactions
